The Childhood and Adolescence of Konno Tamao

It’s my favorite TMGS guy’s birthday, and Pixiv is happy to oblige.

Lookin’ a mite awkward in the chest area, Tsukushi

Hypothetical TMGS4 Tsukushi route:

I kind of imagine an obtainable Tsukushi as the cool, suave guy Majima tries to be. Like say, Ferris Bueller or Hitch.

He’s your university age next-door neighbor, who you meet on the first weekend when he brings a housewarming gift to your family who just moved in (with the side effect of adding to his information network). He sizes you up, saying that you have potential, and declares that he’s going to be a bro and help you get a boyfriend. He fills a lot of the same role he did in TMGS1, giving you advice on skinship, advice on what to wear, how best to raise your stats, and what questions to ask, taking you on practice dates, helping you make Valentine’s chocolate. As in TMGS1, he has a command button all to himself.

When you’ve gone on enough ‘practice dates’, given him two years’ worth of homemade chocolate, and he’s spending some extra time with you before walking you home, you guys get into a moment and he blurts out an almost-confession. Before you can react, he runs off.

He starts avoiding you, though if you go on a date with another guy he shows up and congratulates you, hiding a pained expression on his face. You have to keep hitting his command button until finally, he opens his window and tells you to forget about him. Which is when you either give up or call him an idiot and scream that you love him, asking if he was just playing around all that time.

Graduation day comes and you find him in front of the church. He talks about how when he was younger, he set his sister up with the prince of her dreams and they lived happily ever after, eventually getting married. As a result his reputation as a matchmaker was set and girls would always come up to him, asking for advice and information on various guys, never noticing him. He thought he was happy enough with that, and that as long as they could find happiness it didn’t matter. He put up the front of a cool, casual guy always surrounded by girls, the envy of all his classmates.

But that changed with you. At first he decided to help you because you reminded him of his clumsy sister, but as time went on and you kept coming back to him, he started developing feelings for you. And he was happy that you cared about him enough to ask him about himself and give him chocolate. He didn’t want that comfortable feeling to go away.

He thought he’d screwed everything up when he almost confessed, but when you shouted at him he realized that avoiding you was messing with your feelings, too. So he decided to do things properly.

“No more practice dates. I want to go out with you.”
